Introducing Promotion Check: See Exactly What Your Next Level Demands
A free tool that scores your resume against real job market data — how solid you are at your current level, and exactly what's missing for the next one.
The question every professional actually has
Ask anyone whether they’re “ready for promotion” and you’ll get a feeling, not an answer. Career advice online doesn’t help — it’s generic, written for nobody in particular, and impossible to check against your own resume. We built Promotion Check to replace that guesswork with something you can actually check: real job market data, applied to your actual resume, with a receipt behind every claim.
Two scores, not one
The obvious way to frame this would be a single “readiness” number. But there are really two separate questions people want answered, in this order:
“Am I even solid where I am?” — before worrying about the next level, most people want to know they’re not shaky at their current one.
“What’s the actual gap to the next level?” — the specific things that separate a senior from a mid-level person in their exact role, not generic advice.
So Promotion Check answers both, separately: a Fit score (how well your resume covers what people at your current level are being hired for, right now) and a Readiness score (the same comparison, against the level above you). Two honest numbers, because collapsing them into one would hide which problem you actually have.
Grounded in real data, not opinions
Every score is calculated against thousands of real, current job postings across India — already categorized by role and seniority, with required skills identified. Every claim on the page shows its receipt: “counted from 149 senior Product Manager job postings, last 60 days, India.” No opinions, no generic career advice.
The ladder: what to actually do about each gap
The scores are the headline — but underneath sits a skill-by-skill ladder: the specific things that show up meaningfully more often at the next level than at yours. Every one is honestly checked against your own resume first:
- HAVE — already on your resume. Nothing to do, you’re covered.
- FIX NOW — you’ve actually done this at work, there’s evidence for it in your resume, it just was never written down as a named skill. One click adds it, honestly.
- LEARN — a real gap. No shortcut here — genuine study, or asking for that responsibility at work.
That’s the difference from a generic “what senior PMs know” article: every skill is checked against your resume first, so you’re never told to learn something you already do.
Enhance, Download, Share — the same tools, not new ones
When a “FIX NOW” item is confirmed, one click hands you a resume that honestly adds only what you’ve already demonstrated — nothing invented, nothing exaggerated. From there, Download and Share are the exact same tools used everywhere else in Fitboard — a real PDF, and a shareable link — not a smaller version built just for this page.
Free, no sign-in required
You can upload a resume, see both scores, and enhance/download/share the result without creating an account. Sign in only if you want it saved — every check becomes part of a running history, so you can track your readiness over time.
